Freeway/ Super Asphalt
I’ve been drawn to Freeway morphs from the beginning of my ball python journey. They are just so cool looking, and and the high degree of variability can lead to unexpected and visually appealing results in offspring.

Freeway, Chocolate Freeway, Super Asphalt, and Chocolate Super Asphalt babies, 2024.

Yellowbelly pastel Mojave x pastel leopard freeway, 2024. The male was acquired as YB/ asphalt. This breeding proved he was YB.

The female depositing her eggs. There were seven eggs in this clutch.

Although the male was not asphalt as I had hoped, I did hatch out this great looking female believed to be (super) pastel Mojave leopard freeway.

About This Project
The freeway/ super asphalt project began in 2021 with the acquisition of several freeway females. When it was time add males to the group I focused on obtaining super asphalts in order to ensure that the resulting offspring would be either freeway or super asphalt. The exception was the pastel Mojave male shown above, which I already owned. He proved to be yellowbelly and his offspring were a mixture of ivories and other low-end morphs. This demonstrates the need to avoid YB males when choosing mates for females with YB in them.
Moving forward, I have a small group of freeway/ SA males and females with various other traits that I will be using for this project. Currently I have future breeders that, along with freeway or super asphalt, have pastel, enchi, orange dream, high orange dreeam, leopard, and Mojave. I am planning on introducing pied and clown to the project as well.
